Every SBEK creation requires care and attention. That is why we have put together some useful tips to help you care for your creation on your own whenever possible.
JEWELLERY CARE
DAILY WEAR
SBEK jewelry is designed for everyday wear. However, some creations require special attention. Therefore, we recommend the following advice:
- Avoid putting jewelry in contact with perfumes, soaps, chemicals, or cosmetics. We recommend wearing your jewelry after applying creams, makeup, or perfumes.
- Consider the activities you regularly perform (e.g., sports) when wearing SBEK jewelry, including the potential for impact.
- Protect our gemstones from intense thermal shock to ensure they remain stunning and radiant.
STORAGE
- To prevent SBEK jewelry creations from being scratched when in contact with each other, we recommend storing them individually in the SBEK box provided at the time of purchase.
- Chains should be closed and laid flat to prevent the formation of knots.
- We strongly recommend not storing multiple jewelry items together without proper protection.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Should you wish to clean your SBEK jewelry yourself, we recommend gently brushing it with a very soft brush in lukewarm soapy water and drying it with a soft cloth.
- However, if the piece contains a significant cluster of stones or intricate craftsmanship, we suggest entrusting the cleaning to one of our specialists at an SBEK boutique.
- We also recommend having your jewelry examined at an SBEK boutique at least once a year, where our experts can carefully assess the stone settings and any closures.
SILVER CARE
SILVER JEWELLERY USE AND CLEANING
- All our creations are made of 925/000 sterling silver. Some pieces may be intentionally oxidized to enhance depth and highlight their shine, strength, and durability.
- Wearing silver items regularly is the best way to maintain them, but occasionally, you may want to clean them by giving them a “gentle” dusting. Follow our helpful tips to learn how.

SILVERWARE USE AND CLEANING
SBEK silverware is characterized by originality, creativity, and exceptional beauty.
- Sterling silver can tarnish when exposed to humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, household bleach, and other strong chemicals.
- Frequently used silver requires minimal special care and develops a beautiful patina over time. It is best to wash silver by hand in warm, soapy water and dry it immediately and thoroughly.
- Oxidized silver is intentionally tarnished, creating a dark luster that gives it an antique or aged appearance. Due to its unique nature, oxidized silver requires different care than traditional non-oxidized silver.
- We recommend cleaning oxidized silver only when necessary, using a clean, dry cloth to avoid scratches.
- For small marks, such as light fingerprints, gently use a microfiber cloth lightly sprayed with water, avoiding abrasive materials.

STORAGE
When storing silver, ensure it is completely dry. We recommend protecting it from excessive exposure to air and storing it in a tarnish-resistant cloth, such as the SBEK silverware pouch provided at the time of purchase or a similar material, like flannel.
